Counsellor – CREW

A CREW High Counsellor's job is to keep our 15 to 16 year old guests safe and help them have a great week at camp. This means creating a fun and supportive space in the cabin for them to learn, grow, and make new friends. Counsellors live in cabins with our guests, eat meals together, and participate in evening activities. They also lead small group chats during Convo Cafe each night. All counsellors are required to instruct in a skill area for one period each day - this is called "Switch Em Up". Heads up: counsellors may be moved to other age sections throughout the summer based on our needs for the week. This will be up to the discretion of the Summer Program Manager. read more

CEO Program Director

The CEO Program Director oversees the delivery of core components of our CEO Leadership Program for CEO participants, ages 15 to 17 years old, making sure everything we do hits our customer service standards for safety, detail, sizzle, and development. They lead and coach the Section Head and counsellors, including training and providing feedback. The CEO Director handles any issues that come up with guests and keeps parents in the loop. Plus, they are actively involved in daily and weekly meetings, supporting their team however they can. Ideally the CEO Program Director will be available during the following year and has the opportunity to work part-time to attend follow up events. Contract details to be determined. read more

The CEO Section Head is in charge of designing and running amazing programs for our CEO guests ages 15-17 that are fun, safe, and just right for their age. They will lead and support the counsellors in their section, offering training, support, and feedback. They assist in handling guest issues, deliver top-notch customer service, and keep parents in the loop when needed. Ideally the CEO Section Head will be available during the following year to attend follow-up events. read more

A CEO Counsellor's role is to journey alongside our CEO guests as they walk through and experience our 4 week long leadership program. Counsellors live in the CEO Lodge with the guests and eat all meals with the group. They are also responsible for meeting with their guests one to one, planning and participating in evening programs, and facilitating small group Convo Café conversations. This role is all about building deep connections, so you’ll spend more time with your guests than any other counselling role at Muskoka Woods. The Exceptionality Program allows children and youth with special needs (including Autism Spectrum Disorder) to experience camp with the support they need for a successful week. We provide tailored assistance for each child’s physical, intellectual, social, or behavioural needs and integrate them into camp programming to the extent possible and where appropriate, with guidance from our exceptionalities team. The main role of the Exceptionality Director is coordinating and overseeing the Exceptionality Program. The Exceptionality Director is responsible for collaborating with their team to ensure that the exceptionality guests are supported and cared for. They will lead and support their Section Head and counsellors, offering training, support, and feedback. Their day-to-day consists of checking-in with their counsellors and guests, as well as managing volunteers. They are the go-to person for solving any challenges and connecting with parents and staff to ensure every guest's needs are met. At times, the Exceptionality Director may have to step in for one of their team members to provide one-on-one support for a guest. read more

The job of an Exceptionality Counsellor is to support and connect with our exceptionality guests. Exceptionality Counsellors provide care to assigned guests through check-ins and one-on-one support, ensuring our guests' needs are not just met, but exceeded. That means being actively involved in their day - joining in on activities, offering encouragement, and lending a hand to our guests for their specific needs. Depending on the number of exceptionality guests on site, they may also be asked to help with other camp responsibilities which changes their weekly schedule. Arts & Athletic Directors are responsible for overseeing their assigned activity areas while championing our Customer Service standards of Safety, Detail, Sizzle and Development. They lead their Area Heads, providing training, coaching, and feedback. Arts & Athletic Directors are responsible for tasks including guidebook creation/updating, planning activities, managing equipment and facilities, sorting staff issues, and problem solving issues that come up throughout the day. Arts & Athletics Director – Administrator

Arts & Athletic Directors are responsible for overseeing their assigned activity areas while championing our Customer Service standards of Safety, Detail, Sizzle and Development. The Administrator will specifically handle financial, medical, and logistical administration for Arts & Athletics. They lead their Area Heads, providing training, coaching, and feedback alongside their administrative tasks. This Director's day-to-day includes planning activities, managing equipment and facilities, sorting staff issues, and problem solving issues that come up throughout the day. Area Head – Arts

Area Heads are in charge of overseeing the activities in their area, making sure it is safe, fun, and a space where guests can develop their skills! The Arts Area Head oversees Arts & Crafts, Creative Arts, Screen Printing, Photography, and Coding (activities subject to change). They lead and support their team of instructors, handling training, coaching, and providing feedback. They are responsible for managing all equipment for their area, writing and updating lesson plans, dealing with guest issues, and of course providing top notch customer service. A day in the life looks like running activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm, with daily team meetings and setup/cleanup at the start and end of each day. Heads up: Area Heads will be responsible for helping lead and execute our weekend stayover program. This will include overseeing instructors at activities, work projects and helping to lead evening program. Area Heads will also be assigned to be a Transportation Bus Captain at least once throughout the summer. read more
