Lifeguard – July Only

The Lifeguard's primary responsibility within this department is to provide supervision of the swim beach area while creating a safe environment for our guests to learn and develop new skills, make new friends and have fun! Lifeguards are responsible to execute their daily responsibilities in their assigned area through energetic participation and quality, intentional supervision. A typical day for a lifeguard is to oversee activities from 9am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. Daily team meetings and set up and clean up are required at the beginning and end of each day. Lifeguards will help operate the Stayover Program for guests staying multiple weeks by leading and staying in a guest cabin, running activities and will be assigned to a cleaning team. Lifeguards are also responsible to assist in evening programs where assigned and participate in assigned duties on Sunday Arrival. read more

Instructor Ropes Course

The Ropes Instructor’s primary responsibility within this department is to provide activity instruction while creating a safe environment for our guests to learn and develop new skills, make new friends and have fun! Instructors are responsible to implement daily lesson plans in their assigned area through energetic participation and quality, intentional instruction. A typical day for an instructor is to oversee activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm. Daily team meetings and set up and clean up are required at the beginning and end of each day. Instructors will help operate the Stayover Program for guests staying multiple weeks by leading and staying in a guest cabin, running activities and will be assigned to a cleaning team. Camp Photography Coordinator

The primary role of the Camp Photography Coordinator is to coordinate and ensure photos are posted on Bunk1 to keep parents engaged with what their children are up to at camp. By managing the photographer's schedules and executing the updating of an online photo gallery via the Bunk1 app, the Coordinator will help maintain and promote the image of Muskoka Woods. The Coordinator provides leadership to a team of Camp Photographers including training, scheduling, coaching and performance reviews. Other responsibilities include: taking photos, approving content and meeting regularly with the Production Manager. The Coordinator's schedule will vary throughout each week including day and evening shifts. read more

Instructor Culinary Arts – August Only

The Culinary Arts Instructor’s primary responsibility within this department is to provide activity instruction while creating a safe environment for our guests to learn and develop new skills, make new friends and have fun! Instructors are responsible to implement daily lesson plans in their assigned areas; Culinary, Cake Decorating, and/or Baking through energetic participation and quality, intentional instruction. A typical day for an instructor is to oversee activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm. Daily team meetings and set up and clean up are required at the beginning and end of each day. Instructors will help operate the Stayover Program for guests staying multiple weeks by leading and staying in a guest cabin, running activities and will be assigned to a cleaning team. Volunteer Positions

The primary role of a volunteer at Muskoka Woods is to support the camp where needed on a week to week basis.  Volunteers add a burst of energy and encouragement to their assigned area and are greatly appreciated as we serve our summer guests!  Volunteers, most often, will fill a specific need that we have during their assigned week. read more
