Spring/Summer Instructor Activity & Ropes Course

,

An instructor's primary responsibility within this department is to provide activity instruction while creating a safe environment for our guests to learn and develop new skills, make new friends and have fun! Instructors are responsible to implement daily lesson plans in their assigned area through energetic participation and quality, intentional instruction. A typical day for an instructor is to oversee activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm. Daily team meetings and set up and clean up are required at the beginning and end of each day. In the spring season, instructors support the group experience by working 1 to 2 evening shifts/week as a team to provide evening program, serve snack, cover the office and work in the Camp Store and in the kitchen. In the summer season Instructors will help operate the Stayover Program for guests staying multiple weeks by leading and staying in a guest cabin, running activities and will be assigned to a cleaning team. Instructors are also responsible to assist in evening programs where assigned and participate in assigned duties on Sunday Arrival. read more

Guest Relations Summer Supervisor

The Guest Relations Summer Supervisor primary responsibility within the departments is to oversee the Guest Relations Specialists and Transportation Coordinators by providing training, performance reviews, and ensuring that Muskoka Woods customer service standards are being met. They will also provide support to the full-time guest relations staff and summer team with special projects and any departmental needs that arise during the summer. As well as participating in and contributing to weekly meetings, the guest relations summer supervisor will be expected to provide excellent customer service to our guests and parents for a seamless experience before, during and after their child's week at camp. This person will manage guest information and registration details including payments, personal information, transportation, and store account; they will be responsible for responding to incoming customer inquiries over phone, email, and live chat. The Guest Relations Summer Supervisor must track all customer interactions in our CRM database called Circuitree. read more

Guest Relations Specialist

The primary role of the Guest Relations Specialist is to provide excellent customer service to our guests and parents for a seamless experience before, during, and after their child's week at camp. The GRS will manage guest information and registration details including, but not limited to: payments, personal information, transportation, and store account; and will be responsible for responding to incoming customer inquiries over the phone, email, and live chat. In addition, this role is responsible for preparing and distributing summer reports. read more

Market Research Analyst

The Market Research Analyst’s primary responsibility within this department is to manage and organize all research activities including conducting all guest surveys, predicting reports, analyzing data and communicating research with the appropriate people and departments. Other duties include: daily and weekly meetings, guest and department follow up, organizing focus groups and compiling feedback, guest departure and arrival duties, assisting the Marketing and Sales team as required. read more

Grounds Crew Supervisor

The primary role of the Grounds Crew Supervisor within this department is to create a fun and productive environment for our young staff while contributing to the maintenance and care of all accommodations, meeting areas, public spaces and grounds. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: mowing and trimming grass, sweeping, collecting garbage, moving firewood, moving equipment, and assisting the full-time maintenance staff where needed. A typical shift for the Grounds Crew Supervisor is varied throughout the week (7:00am - 3:00pm, 2:00pm to 10:00pm). Grounds Crew Supervisors must provide their own steel-toed shoes. read more

Kitchen Service Supervisor

The primary role of the Kitchen Service Supervisor within this department is to assist the Dining Hall Manager in all things related to leading staff, managing outcomes and serving guests. The Kitchen Service Supervisor oversees the Kitchen staff and are responsible to create a fun and productive team environment for our young staff while providing a quality and customer friendly dining experience for all staff and guests. All Kitchen staff are also required to contribute to the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining hall areas through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, garbage removal, wiping down of surfaces, sanitizing work stations, food prep areas and washing dishes. A typical shift for the Kitchen Supervisor is varied throughout the week (Breakfast/Lunch 6:00am - 2:30pm, Lunch/Dinner 11:00am - 7:30pm, Breakfast/Dinner 6:00am - 10:30am & 4:00pm - 7:30pm) read more

Coffee Can Supervisor

The Coffee Can is open to staff and guests on a daily basis selling Starbucks drinks, coffee, tea, and more! The primary role of the Coffee Can Supervisor, alongside our full-time Camp Store manager, is to keep a fun and productive environment for our young staff while providing excellent customer service to our staff and guests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading and managing staff, supervising shifts, reconciling tills, receiving and managing inventory, cleaning and organizing the coffee can, helping to train staff on menu items, and working alongside the staff. A typical shift through the week is 8:30am- 4:30pm. But will also be trained on Camp Store processes and may have shifts in the store as well. read more

Area Head – Target Sports

The Area Head’s primary responsibility within this department is to create, oversee and execute activities for their assigned area(s) that are safe, fun, developmentally focused and age-appropriate. The Target Sports Area Head will oversee activities that include: Archery, Marksmanship and Axe Throwing. Area Heads provide leadership to the instructors in their area(s) including training, coaching and performance review. Area Heads are responsible to assist with equipment and facilities management, guest issues, and provide great customer service. A typical day within the Arts and Athletics department is to oversee activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm.
