Summer Camp Jobs – Work at Muskoka Woods

Muskoka Woods offers Summer Camp employment opportunities with start dates in May, June, July and August. Successful applicants are those who are looking to develop new skills, grow in their faith, serve our guests and have fun!

Area Head – Kraken Waterslide

Area Heads are in charge of overseeing the activities in their area, making sure it is safe, fun, and a space where guests can develop their skills! At the Kraken, this Area Head will lead and support their team of instructors, handling training, coaching, and providing feedback. They are responsible for managing all equipment for their area, writing and updating lesson plans, dealing with guest issues, ensuring that all inspections and log sheets are completed each day, and of course providing top notch customer service. A day in the life looks like working shifts between 9am and 7pm overseeing the Kraken Waterslide, with daily team meetings and setup/cleanup at the start and end of each day. Heads up: Area Heads will be responsible for helping lead and execute our weekend stayover program. This will include overseeing instructors at activities, work projects and helping to lead evening program. Area Heads will also be assigned to be a Transportation Bus Captain at least once throughout the summer. read more

Guest Relations Specialist

Guest Relations Specialists are dedicated to providing high-quality service to our guests and their families, ensuring that everything runs smoothly before, during, and after their time at camp. In this role, you will manage guest information and registration details, including payments, personal information, transportation, and store accounts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for answering questions and resolving issues, utilizing phone, email, and live chat for communication. Additionally, this position involves preparing and distributing summer reports. Specialists may also be required to assist with the weekly preparation and execution of our transportation services. read more

Office Supervisor

The Main Office is the hub of all information at Muskoka Woods. Working alongside the full-time Office Manager, the Office Supervisor is responsible for creating a fun and productive environment for our young Office staff. They provide top-notch customer service and respond to the needs of parents, staff, and guests, whether it's on the phone, via email, or in person at the front desk. The Office Supervisor oversees the office functions and processes. They manage shifts, respond to phone calls and emails, keep track of guests on property, solve any issues that pop up, and work closely with other departments to keep communication clear and accurate. read more

Staff Coach – Guest Communicator

At Muskoka Woods, we offer special nightly sessions for our guests across different age groups, including WILD (6 - 8 year old), Venture (9 - 10 year old), Junior High (11 - 12 year old), Senior High (13 - 14 year old), and CREW (15 - 16 year old). These sessions focus on topics related to Christian values, character, and personal beliefs, providing a safe and respectful space for discussions using Bible stories and other creative methods. Staff Coach Guest Communicators play a vital role in delivering content at Convo Cafe sessions (Exploring Life and Diving Deeper) with Junior High, Senior High, and CREW, as well as at Cabin Chat with WILD and Venture, and finally, at Spark, and Impact (a weekly large group multi-media experience). Our aim is to encourage our guests to think critically and inclusively. Whatever the occasion, our conversations are age appropriate and respectful of all religions and beliefs. All Staff Coaches are required to attend team meetings, lead small groups, attend Soul House, support Cadence, drive for hospital runs, and conduct One to Ones. read more

Producer – Large Group Experiences

Ministry Events are a special part of each night at Muskoka Woods, with WILD and Venture guests participating in Cabin Chat and Spark, and Junior High, Senior High and CREW guests in Conversation Cafe and Impact. During this time, staff and guests share on topics including Christian values, character and personal beliefs. These sessions create a safe space for listening, laughing and learning about values and morals through Bible stories, music, speakers and in other creative ways. Whatever the occasion, our conversations are age appropriate and respectful of all religions and beliefs. The Producer of Large Group Experiences is the mastermind behind creating engaging and memorable experiences for our guests, planning and executing seamless events that showcase our creative ministry programming. This happens through: planning an "order of service", rehearsing, programming, managing "talent" and liaising with the Video and Production Coordinators who manage the audio, visual, lighting and set preparations for the guest ministry initiatives. The Producer will work closely with the Staff Coach Guest Communicators and other talented staff in their communication skills, delivery of content, as well as skits and presentations. They will work in coordination with the Production Manager to ensure a seamless delivery of content at the large and small group experiences. Large group experiences include: Spark, Impact, Friday Finale, Opening Day Show and Cadence. Smaller group experiences include: Convo Cafe and Cabin Chat. Producers are also required to be part of Super Sunday and engage in our staff mentoring program, taking on 4-6 One to One's. read more

Health Care Centre Crew

The Health Care Centre Assistant is a part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals consisting of the Healthcare Centre Manager, Director, a physician, and two registered nurses. Under the supervision and guidance of the HCC Manager and Director, the HCC Assistant helps with medical screening for all our summer guests. This is an administrative role where the Assistant will work alongside the HCC Manager and be responsible for working through medical form reports, screen guests, and share that information with the appropriate departments. They support guest care and promote health by ensuring that protocols under infection control are being executed properly. They will also handle any other tasks requested by the Healthcare Centre Manager and Director. read more

Security

The Security staff play a key role in keeping our camp safe and secure from early evening to early morning. Security ensures that all staff and guests stick to camp curfews by patrolling the area as well as monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees and visitors through the evening. They are required to write up reports on daily activities, any irregularities, or unusual happenings, including when staff or guests don't follow camp rules. Security staff will also be part of the Maitre'd schedule and help with opening day responsibilities. read more

Counsellor – CREW – Boys Cabins – July Only

A CREW High Counsellor's job is to keep our 15 to 16 year old guests safe and help them have a great week at camp. This means creating a fun and supportive space in the cabin for them to learn, grow, and make new friends. Counsellors live in cabins with our guests, eat meals together, and participate in evening activities. They also lead small group chats during Convo Cafe each night. All counsellors are required to instruct in a skill area for one period each day - this is called "Switch Em Up". Heads up: counsellors may be moved to other age sections throughout the summer based on our needs for the week. This will be up to the discretion of the Summer Program Manager. read more

Instructor Woodworking

Woodworking Instructors are responsible for leading fun and safe activities that help our guests learn new skills, make friends, and have an awesome time! Instructors run activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm each day, bringing high energy and quality instruction to their area. Each day kicks off and wraps up with team meetings, plus setup and cleanup of their area. Heads up: all instructors also help out with our Stayover Program by leading activities, staying in guest cabins as a stayover counsellor, and pitching in with a cleaning crew. They also assist with evening programs where assigned and participate in Sunday Arrivals. Instructors will also be assigned as transportation staff on at least one Saturday or Sunday throughout the summer. read more

Culinary Arts Instructors are responsible for leading fun and safe activities that help our guests learn new skills, make friends, and have an awesome time! Instructors run activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm each day, bringing high energy and quality instruction to their area. These activities include Culinary, Cake Decorating, and Baking. Each day kicks off and wraps up with team meetings, plus setup and cleanup of their area. Heads up: all instructors also help out with our Stayover Program by leading activities, staying in guest cabins as a stayover counsellor, and pitching in with a cleaning crew. They also assist with evening programs where assigned and participate in Sunday Arrivals. Instructors will also be assigned as transportation staff on at least one Saturday or Sunday throughout the summer. read more
