Job Description

The Hospitality team is all about providing excellent customer service so everyone - guests, staff, and visitors - feels taken care of. Staff provide top-notch service and keep things running smoothly by spotting the little details, jumping in when needed, and creating a clean and welcoming environment.

The Coffee Can is open on a daily basis selling Starbucks drinks, coffee, tea, and more! The Coffee Can Supervisor works with the full-time Camp Store Manager to create a fun and productive atmosphere that’s perfect for the team of younger Camp Store staff who are diving into their first job. Their top priority is to deliver amazing customer service and hospitality to everyone, both staff and guests! Main tasks will include supervising shifts, reconciling tills, receiving and managing inventory, cleaning and organizing the Coffee Can to health and safety standards, training staff on beverage preparation, as well as working alongside the staff on a day to day basis. The Coffee Can Supervisor can expect to work 7:30am – 3:30pm alongside rotating staff from inside the Camp Store. Heads up: they will also be trained on Camp Store processes and may have shifts in the store as well.

All leadership staff contribute to alternate duties on guest arrival and departure days as well as the weekend stayover program.

Leadership staff may be required to act as a "Staff Dorm Parent" within their accommodations. Expectations include: establishing and maintaining a healthy cabin culture, supporting and upholding all Muskoka Woods policies as well as directly addressing any conflicts that arise within the accommodations to the best of their ability.

Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.

Skills and Attributes Required

Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.

Coffee Can Supervisor applicants must have leadership experience, a customer service mindset, be able to take initiative, and be attentive to details. Applicants must also have the desire to work with young staff and to create a positive, encouraging and fun atmosphere. Camp Store staff must have proficient math skills. Experience within the retail industry/ barista experience is preferred.

Salary Range

$185 - $215 per week plus room and board

Full Summer Bonus

Each leadership employee who commits their entire summer (with some exceptions for Classic) will qualify for a $400 bonus to be given at the end of the summer.

Contract Dates

April 22 (flexible start date) – August 29, 2025

Essential Functions

  • Have the physical strength and ability to lift and move small and large objects (ie. vacuum cleaner, garbage bags, boxes, and inventory)
  • Work efficiently for 7-9 hours at a time
  • Participate in work projects that involve lifting and carrying 10-30 lbs
  • Be able to stoop, bend, and crouch
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both staff and guests
