Muskoka Woods is a Christian youth development organization that welcomes everyone to an experience for a lifetime. Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau, we specialize in summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development for all ages. We exist to inspire youth to shape their world.
Job Description
The Program team is all about making sure our guests are thriving throughout the entire week at camp! Program is in charge of supervising guests in their cabins, at meal times, during free time and at evening programs.
The CEO Program Director oversees the delivery of core components of our CEO Leadership Program for CEO participants, ages 15 to 17 years old, making sure everything we do hits our customer service standards for safety, detail, sizzle, and development. They lead and coach the Section Head and counsellors, including training and providing feedback. The CEO Director handles any issues that come up with guests and keeps parents in the loop. Plus, they are actively involved in daily and weekly meetings, supporting their team however they can.
Ideally the CEO Program Director will be available during the following year and has the opportunity to work part-time to attend follow up events. Contract details to be determined.
Summer Directors are regularly assigned to the Shutdown schedule and the Dining Room Maitre'd schedule.
Leadership staff also contribute to the overall ministry to staff and are required to lead a staff small group and participate in our One to One staff mentoring program.
All leadership staff contribute to alternate duties on guest arrival and departure days as well as the weekend stayover program.
Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.
Skills and Attributes Required
Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.
The CEO Program Director must have strong leadership skills including: planning, organizing and administration, time management, conflict resolution, and strong communication skills both oral and written. Applicants must have a passion for leadership development in youth, be able to journey with the CEO guests personally, spiritually and in their leadership development. All staff must have a customer service mindset. Previous leadership experience, working with youth, running programs and working at summer camps is required.
Salary Range
$300 - $330 per week plus room and board
Contract Date
May 4 - September 5, 2026
Full Summer Bonus
Each director who commits their entire summer (with some exceptions for Classic) will qualify for a $500 bonus to be given at the end of the summer.
Essential Functions
- Be able to help guests and staff in emergencies
- Have the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of guests and/or staff
- Have the ability to travel around camp with guests
- Join in on activities for 6 to 8 hours a day
- Lead both small and large group activities
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests
Additional Notes
- All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract.
- All Counsellors stay in a cabin with our guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
- All Staff are required to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of their contract.
