Job Description

The Support team makes up a variety of different positions that keep camp running smoothly. Whether it's supporting our ministry for guests and staff, providing excellent customer service and more, the Support team puts in the work behind the scenes.

Guest Relations Specialists are dedicated to providing high-quality service to our guests and their families, ensuring that everything runs smoothly before, during, and after their time at camp. In this role, you will manage guest information and registration details, including payments, personal information, transportation, and store accounts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for answering questions and resolving issues, utilizing phone, email, and live chat for communication. Additionally, this position involves preparing and distributing summer reports. Specialists may also be required to assist with the weekly preparation and execution of our transportation services.

Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.

Skills and Attributes Required

Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.

Guest Relations Specialists must possess excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanour. Comfort in communicating via phone and email is essential, along with the ability to work effectively with details. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment is crucial. Prior experience in customer service and administrative roles is an asset.

Salary Range

$185 - $215 per week plus room and board

Contract Dates

May (remote) – August 29, 2025

** Please note that the Guest Relations Specialist is required to start training and work remotely in May (flexible start date). Minimum wage will be paid for hourly training and work leading up to the summer. They will then move to the Resort on June 20, 2025.

Full Summer Bonus

Each support employee who commits their entire summer (with some exceptions for Classic) will qualify for a $300 bonus to be given at the end of the summer.

Essential Functions Required

  • Be able to help guests and staff in emergencies
  • Have the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of guests and/or staff
  • Work efficiently for 7-9 hours at a time
  • Participate in work projects that involve lifting and carrying 10-30 lbs
  • Have the ability to travel around camp with guests
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests

  • Please note: All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract.
  • Please note: All Counsellors stay in a cabin with our guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
  • Please note: All Staff are required to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of their contract.
