We are located on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau and specialize in summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development for all ages. Job Description

The Hospitality department’s primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service and hospitality to our guests and staff. Hospitality staff help to provide a seamless experience by serving the needs of the guests, noticing details, taking initiative to ensure staff and guests feel cared for, and creating a clean and inviting environment for all.

The primary role of the Grounds Crew within this department is to contribute to the maintenance and care of all accommodations, meeting areas, public spaces and grounds. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: mowing and trimming grass, sweeping, collecting garbage, moving firewood, moving equipment, and assisting the full time maintenance staff where needed. A typical shift for the Grounds Crew is varied throughout the week (7:00am – 3:00pm, 2:00pm to 10:00pm). Grounds Crew must provide their own steel-toed shoes.

Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.

 

Skills and Attributes Required

Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.

Grounds Crew staff must have a strong work ethic, a customer service mindset, be a team player, have a positive attitude, be willing to work early morning shifts, and perform manual labour. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.

 

Salary Range

$100 – $220 per week plus room and board

Full Summer Bonus

Each hospitality employee who commits their entire summer (with some exceptions for Classic) will qualify for a $300 bonus to be given at the end of the summer.

2 Contract Date Options Available: 

4 month contract: April 19 – August 30, 2024

2 month contract: June 21 – August 30, 2024

Essential Functions

  • Have physical strength & ability to lift/move small and large objects (ie. vacuum cleaner, garbage bags, boxes, and inventory)
  • Possess the ability to work for 7- 9 hours at a time
  • Ability to participate in work projects – lifting and carrying between 10 – 30 lbs
  • Be able to stoop, bend, and crouch
    Have the ability to communicate well with staff and guests
