Job Description
The Support team makes up a variety of different positions that keep camp running smoothly. Whether it's supporting our ministry for guests and staff, providing excellent customer service and more, the Support team puts in the work behind the scenes.
The Summer Finance Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the camp’s financial systems. Working closely with the Finance Department, they assist with a range of financial tasks while providing support to guests, parents, and staff – particularly in areas related to Camp Store Cards, Accounts Payable, Sales Reconciliation, and Financial Analysis.
Responsibilities include managing Camp Store Card accounts by adding funds, checking balances, linking guest wristbands, and answering questions. The analyst is also responsible for maintaining accurate account records, handling cash deposits and floats, and ensuring all transactions are properly reconciled and prepared for deposit. Additionally, they support the Finance Team by maintaining tracking sheets, assisting with daily and weekly sales reports, identifying discrepancies, and contributing to ongoing financial projects as needed.
Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.
Skills and Attributes Required
Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.
Finance Analyst candidates should have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs, particularly with spreadsheets. Strong math skills and an interest in financial analysis are essential. Candidates must be dependable, personable, and comfortable interacting with guests, parents, and staff. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is important. Prior experience in customer service, account reconciliation, and general office tasks is required. While not mandatory, a background in finance or accounting, through work or education, is considered an asset.
Salary Range
$185 - $215 per week plus room and board
Full Summer Bonus
Each support employee who commits their entire summer will qualify for a $300 bonus to be given at the end of the summer. Exceptions will apply for high school students & first year post-secondary school for Staff Week & Classic.
Contract Dates
June 19 - September 4, 2026
Essential Functions Required
- Be able to help guests and staff in emergencies
- Have the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of guests and/or staff
- Work efficiently for 7-9 hours at a time
- Participate in work projects that involve lifting and carrying 10-30 lbs
- Have the ability to travel around camp with guests
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests
Additional Notes
- All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract.
- All Counsellors stay in a cabin with our guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
- All Staff are required to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of their contract.
