CEO/Exceptionalities Coordinator

Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau, we specialize in summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development for all ages. We exist to inspire youth to shape their world.
Job Purpose
The Coordinator is responsible for end‑to‑end development and operational management of the summer CEO Leadership Program and the Exceptionality Program, including application and admissions processes, hiring and training seasonal leadership and counsellors, coordinating communications with families and stakeholders, and overseeing program‑specific trips and year‑round follow‑up. This role also develops and maintains training materials, ensures compliance with safety and crisis‑intervention standards, manages program budgets and supplies, participates in corporate events and staff training, and drives continual program innovation and evaluation to deliver exceptional, inclusive camper outcomes.
Key Areas of Responsibility
CEO Leadership Program Development and Management:
- Schedule and plan 4 week summer leadership program
- Plan and administrate the application, interview and acceptance process
- Interview, train and lead the seasonal CEO director, CEO section head and CEO counsellors to ensure a successful program
- Oversee all CEO communications including emails and calls to and from parents, guest speakers and CEOs.
- Plan and oversee the CEO follow up program throughout the year
- Plan and lead the CEO serve trip during March break
Exceptionality Program Development and Management
- Be in communication with parents who inquire about the Exceptionality program via email and phone calls.
- Screen and assess all potential Exceptionality guests to determine their level of need and support while attending summer camp.
- Interview, train and lead the seasonal Exceptionality Director,
- Exceptionality Section Head and
- Exceptionality counsellors to ensure a successful program.
- Ensure implementation of Crisis Prevention Intervention Training and Snoezelen Room Training
Complete all administrative duties such as updating and creating training manuals and supporting documents, additional reports and projects etc. - Plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate therapeutic, social, physical, emotional and intellectual recreation and leisure opportunities.
- Assist in pairing each counsellor with the guest they will be supporting for the week and creating profiles on each guest.
- Participate in program evaluation to determine the effectiveness of programs and to shape future activities and programming
- Research new and innovative program ideas
Other
- Coordinate and participate in 8 weeks of staff training before summer camp begins.
- Track purchasing and ordering of program supplies to ensure the budget is kept.
- Participate in all corporate events including Huddles, Town Hall, Arboretum and annual Staff Retreat.
- Be available for “on call” evenings during the summer months
- Personal/Professional development as required.
- Other requests as outlined by the Summer Camp Director
Skills and Abilities Required
- Proven ability in administration, organization, and time management.
A passion for working with young people both with and without exceptionalities. - Strong leadership skills to manage, inspire, develop and coordinate staff
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communicator both oral and written.
- Ability to handle multiple high priority tasks.
- High energy and positive attitude.
- Ability to initiate independently as well as work effectively on a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Passion for youth ministry, the camping industry and leadership development

Experience Required
- College Diploma/University degree in related field
- 2 to 3 years of work experience in education and/or leadership programming
- Experience with youth with disabilities is preferred
- Summer Camp and/or Muskoka Woods experience is preferred
Essential Functions Required
- Ability to sit, talk, hear, see and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
- Ability to communicate both written and verbal with guests and staff.
- Able to maintain energy to work 8 to 10 hours a day in the summer months.
*Please note this position is required to move to the resort from May to August. Accommodation is provided.
Salary Range
$39,000 – $44,000
Location
Markham Office – September to April – Combined remote and in person
May to August – this position moves to our Resort in Rosseau. Room and Board is provided
