Business Analyst Associate

Job Purpose
The Business Analyst Associate role serves on the Business Analyst Team and participates in a wide range of technology and process improvement projects across Muskoka Woods. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, the Associate will assist with the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our core software systems (e.g., CircuiTree, Freshdesk, and Venue360), collaborate with various departments to support internal initiatives, and ensure accuracy and detail across project deliverables.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Software & System Support
- Assist with the configuration and seasonal setup of our camp management platforms, including CircuiTree and Venue360, which support different areas of our camp business.
- Provide support for Freshdesk, including keeping up with product releases, testing new features, and helping departments adopt and use the platform effectively.
- Track and follow up on system bugs, support tickets, and documentation with external vendors.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance processes to ensure software features work as intended.
- Help maintain internal documentation of system changes, decisions, and best practices.
Analytics & Reporting
- Assist with regular and ad-hoc reporting for various departments including registration data, financial summaries, and support ticket trends.
- Use Excel and/or Google Sheets to clean, analyze, and format data using pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
- Ensure accuracy in reporting through careful cross-checking and documentation.
Project Support
- Collaborate with team to gather requirements and support project workflows.
- Coordinate stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and feedback loops.
- Help with project planning by preparing timelines, task lists, and training materials.
- Support internal rollouts of new systems and processes by preparing clear documentation and helping teams onboard.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Assist with documenting workflows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Maintain and update internal documentation, including how-to guides, system processes, and project notes.
- Assist with tracking outstanding tasks and follow-ups to support accountability and momentum across initiatives.
Team Participation
- Participate in weekly department meetings, working sessions, and project updates, as well as broader organizational events such as Town Hall and the Annual Retreat.
- Serve as a liaison for departments needing assistance with systems or processes.
- Provide general administrative and technical support to the Business Analyst team as needed.
Other
- Assist with various new projects as required.
- Complete other tasks as outlined by the Senior Business Analyst.
Qualifications/Experience Required
- Post-secondary education in business, analytics, information systems, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills are required, including comfort with pivot tables, formulas, filters, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with software systems, reporting tools, or ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk) is a strong asset.
- Prior experience in a technical support, data entry, analytics, or project assistant role is helpful.

- A proactive, service-oriented attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and supporting colleagues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (including pivot tables, formulas, and charts) is essential. - Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a close-knit team.

Essential Functions Required
- Ability to sit, talk, hear, see and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
- Ability to communicate both written and verbal with guests and staff.
Duration
12 month contract
Salary Range
$35,000 – $39,000/year
