Job Description

The Timbergrove Lodge Area Head plays a key role in bringing the mission of the Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation to life – ensuring that every guest, regardless of background, experiences the joy and transformation of summer camp. The Area Head leads a team of hosts to create a welcoming and organized environment for our partner groups. They serve as the main point of contact, managing logistics, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring an exceptional experience from arrival to departure. A day in the life looks like connecting with groups and hosts throughout the day to ensure everyone is having a great time, ensuring all activities are planned and organized, and wrapping up with the group at the end of the day to celebrate wins and prepare for tomorrow.
The Timbergrove Lodge Area Head role is unique within the Athletics Department. While the overall workload is equivalent to an Area Head, the schedule is more flexible and often includes evenings to align with group programming and guest needs.

All leadership staff contribute to alternate duties on guest arrival and departure days as well as the weekend stayover program.
Leadership staff may be required to act as a "Staff Dorm Parent" within their accommodations. Expectations include: establishing and maintaining a healthy cabin culture, supporting and upholding all Muskoka Woods policies as well as directly addressing any conflicts that arise within the accommodations to the best of their ability.
