Job Description

The Support team makes up a variety of different positions that keep camp running smoothly. Whether it's supporting our ministry for guests and staff, providing excellent customer service and more, the Support team puts in the work behind the scenes.

Nannies provide childcare and assistance to families on camp property during the summer. Their main job is to serve as a loving, nurturing, and trustworthy companion and caregiver to the kids. Each family will have their own specific responsibilities and schedules.

This nanny will be responsible for a 2 year old toddler. Responsibilities may include feeding, diapering, supporting nap schedules, soothing, and engaging in play that promotes early development. The nanny should be patient, observant, and responsive to the infant’s needs while following the family’s preferred routines and care practices.

Please note: This role will be a split position, working 3 days as a nanny and 3 days in another position at camp. This second role will be determined based on the applicant’s skill and experience.

Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.

Skills and Attributes Required

Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.

Nannies must be creative, energetic, attentive to detail, able to take initiative and have the safety of their assigned children as their number one priority. Experience with children is required and first aid training is preferred.

Salary Range

$120 - $150 per week plus room and board

Contract Dates

June 19 - September 4, 2026

Full Summer Bonus

Each support employee who commits their entire summer will qualify for a $300 bonus to be given at the end of the summer. Exceptions will apply for high school students & first year post-secondary school for Staff Week & Classic.

Essential Functions Required

  • Be able to help guests and staff in emergencies
  • Have the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of guests and/or staff
  • Work efficiently for 7-9 hours at a time
  • Participate in work projects that involve lifting and carrying 10-30 lbs
  • Have the ability to travel around camp with guests
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests

Additional Notes

  • All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract.
  • All Counsellors stay in a cabin with our guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
  • All Staff are required to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of their contract.
