Job Purpose
The Studio Program Coordinator is part of a team responsible for facilitating life-changing experiences by delivering unmatched developmental experiences, providing activity & program excellence, and ensuring world-class customer service and engagement to all of our guests.
This position contributes to leading and executing: Leadership Studio Experiences (LSXs), activities, programs, and facility development. While the primary focus of the role is with The Leadership Studio they will also assist and contribute towards group experiences for all Schools & Groups guests (schools, retreats, and Leadership Studio groups). This position’s main responsibility and focus is to facilitate excellent experiences and manage leadership studio resources.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Facilitation of Leadership Studio Experiences
- Deliver high-quality Leadership Studio Experiences for student and adult groups through practice, preparation, and leadership of others
- Set up, tear down, storage, and maintenance of all LSX supplies and equipment
- Consult with guests to ensure an understanding of their needs, wants and expectations
- Seek out, receive, and respond to feedback around facilitation skills and abilities
- Assist with the development of seasonal staff facilitation skills
Leadership Studio Responsibilities
- Assist the Leadership Studio Manager and Guest Services Manager to make itinerary decisions
- Host Studio bookings with excellent customer service by meeting or exceeding standards and expectations, such as:
- Inspect the Studio before each group arrives
- Ensure the Studio is clean, staged, stairs swept, snow removed, and firewood is available
- Prepare heating, cooling and related equipment at the beginning of each day
- Coordinate with the Production Department that all other spaces to be used are guest-ready
- Serve and lead Class-A meals
- Set up, clean, and maintain The Leadership Studio, CEO Lodge, and the Underground and all assets within (ie. furniture, decor, etc.)
- Organize, supervise and participate in maintaining the Studio’s indoor and outdoor environments through routine inspection, reporting, resetting, shovelling, cleaning and repair of the building, adjacent walks, grounds and equipment
- Schedule ongoing inspection, cleaning and repair of equipment, fireplaces and spaces and ensure all necessary supplies (firewood, coffee, dish soap, cleaning supplies, office and art supplies etc.) are in stock
- Organize and participate in cutting grass, maintaining walkways and the landscape adjacent to the Studio
- Coordinate and communicate with Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments as needed
- Ensure smooth transition of all Studio spaces and resources to summer programming
- Assist with CEO Leadership Program execution
- Assist with Foundation Dinners throughout the summer
Program Team Responsibilities
- Daily Guest Experience & Program Team Support
- Help with on-site guest experiences through excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving
- Help the planning process by reviewing itineraries, attending itinerary meetings, etc.
- Accountable for evening program and rainy-day design and delivery
- Serve as a resource to the S&G team for all staff training and development as a facilitator
- Coordinate seasonal staff training
- Take one on-call night per week by being the main point of contact for emergencies for all groups on-site at the time
- Build into and encourage the spiritual development of all program staff
- Use CampBrain and other customer delivery software to maintain a working knowledge of each booking and group
Other
- Works cross-departmentally (Maintenance, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Summer) as needed (ex. doing dishes, shovelling snow, cleaning accommodations)
- Participate in meetings as required
- Participate in all corporate events including Town Halls, the Arboretum, and the annual Staff Retreat
- Personal/Professional development as required
- Attend weekly Cadence services and lead a small group
- Weekly check-ins with one-to-ones
- The primary working schedule will be Wednesday to Sunday with a need to be flexible based on bookings

Essential Functions Required
- Ability to communicate both written and verbal with staff and guests
- Able to be in front of and talk to large crowds for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
- Possess physical and mental strength and endurance to maintain constant supervision of guests and staff
Salary Range
$35,000 – $38,000 per year including room and board.
Location
This position is located at our resort in Rosseau, ON. Room and board is available as part of the overall compensation package depending on availability of accommodation.
