Job Description
The Hospitality team is all about providing excellent customer service so everyone - guests, staff, and visitors - feels taken care of. Staff provide top-notch service and keep things running smoothly by spotting the little details, jumping in when needed, and creating a clean and welcoming environment.
The Food Prep team works alongside our Cooks to prepare all meals, including our yogurt and salad buffets. Tasks will include everything from receiving inventory and chopping veggies to panning food, slicing deli meats, wrapping sandwiches, and even some deep-frying and grilling! Food Prep staff help keep the kitchen sparkling by sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, washing dishes, and sanitizing work areas. A chef’s jacket or apron will be provided for each shift.
Shifts can vary throughout the week: Breakfast/Lunch from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Lunch/Dinner from 11:00am to 7:30pm, or a mix of Breakfast/Dinner from 6:00am to 10:30am and 4:00pm to 7:30pm.
Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.
Skills and Attributes Required
Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.
Kitchen staff must have a strong work ethic, have a customer service mindset, be a team player, have a positive attitude, be willing to work early morning shifts, and perform manual labour (unloading inventory, cleaning, mopping). Experience and a desire to work within the Kitchen Industry is preferred.
Salary Range
$175 – $220 per week plus room and board
Full Summer Bonus
Each hospitality employee who commits their entire summer (with some exceptions for Classic) will qualify for a $300 bonus to be given at the end of the summer.
Contract Dates:
4 months – April 22 – August 29, 2025

Essential Functions
- Have the physical strength and ability to lift and move small and large objects (ie. vacuum cleaner, garbage bags, boxes, and inventory)
- Work efficiently for 7-9 hours at a time
- Participate in work projects that involve lifting and carrying 10-30 lbs
- Be able to stoop, bend, and crouch
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both staff and guests

- Please note: All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract.
- Please note: All Counsellors stay in a cabin with our guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
- Please note: All Staff are required to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of their contract.
