Company Mission
Muskoka Woods is a Christian youth development organization that welcomes everyone to an experience for a lifetime. We are located on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau and specialize in summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development for all ages. We exist to inspire youth to shape their world.
Job Description
From September to June, the Schools & Groups program and the Leadership Studio provide life-changing experiences for youth and adults. All year long, Muskoka Woods hosts over 25,000 students from grades 6 to 12, along with corporate groups and church retreats.
Production Staff work alongside the Production Coordinator and Production CORE to deliver excellent production services for our guests. They support all audio, visual, lighting, and set-up needs to make every event shine. They are responsible for moving and lifting equipment, handling the set-up and takedown of staging (stages, tarps, tables, tents, etc.) and gear (speakers, microphones, lights). A typical schedule will include a mix of daytime and evening shifts depending on our guests’ needs, so flexibility is key!
Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.
**Please note: All positions are required to work in other areas including program, washing dishes, housekeeping, grounds keeping and snow removal, and office coverage.
Skills and Attributes Required
Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.
Production applicants must also have a strong skills in customer service, time management and verbal communication. Applicants must also have a strong work ethic, be willing to do physical labour and enjoy a flexible schedule that includes working evenings. Applicants must have proven production and video experience.
Salary
$220.00 per week plus room and board
Contract Dates
Sunday August 31 - Sunday November 30, 2025
Essential Functions Required
- Be able to help guests and staff in emergencies
- Have the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of guests and/or staff
- Have the ability to travel around camp with guests
- Join in on activities for 6 - 8 hours a day
- Lead both small and large group activities
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests both in person and on the phone
- Participate in work projects that involve lifting and carrying 10 - 30 lbs

- Please note: All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract.
- Please note: All Counsellors stay in a cabin with our guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
- Please note: All Staff are required to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of their contract.
