Job Description
The Support team makes up a variety of different positions that keep camp running smoothly. Whether it's supporting our ministry for guests and staff, providing excellent customer service and more, the Support team puts in the work behind the scenes.
The Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation Project Coordinator helps support Muskoka Woods’ goal of giving ALL kids an opportunity to attend Summer Camp. This role has the privilege of hosting our partner groups in Timbergrove Lodge and Jan’s Place, along with other projects and events supported by the Foundation, throughout the summer.
The MWYF Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility within this team is all things related to managing outcomes, serving guests and leading staff including training, coaching and performance review. The Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for all Timbergrove Lodge Groups and Jan’s Place families prior to and during their time at Muskoka Woods, including managing health forms and police checks, liaising with the other departments, gathering stories, assigning staff and hosting activities.
All leadership staff contribute to alternate duties on guest arrival and departure days as well as the weekend stayover program.
Leadership staff may be required to act as a "Staff Dorm Parent" within their accommodations. Expectations include: establishing and maintaining a healthy cabin culture, supporting and upholding all Muskoka Woods policies as well as directly addressing any conflicts that arise within the accommodations to the best of their ability.
Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group.
Skills and Attributes Required
Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth.
Applicants must have leadership experience, administrative skills, be attentive to details as well as excellent communication skills both written and verbal. MWYF Project Coordinator must be able to facilitate and instruct activities as well as manage group dynamics, build relationships and create a safe yet fun activity experience. Previous experience with youth is preferred.
Salary Range
$185 - $215 per week plus room and board
Full Summer Bonus
Each leadership employee who commits their entire summer (with some exceptions for Classic) will qualify for a $400 bonus to be given at the end of the summer.
Contract Dates
June 1 - August 29, 2025
Essential Functions Required
- Be able to help guests and staff in emergencies
- Have the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of guests and/or staff
- Work efficiently for 7-9 hours at a time
- Participate in work projects that involve lifting and carrying 10-30 lbs
- Have the ability to travel around camp with guests
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests

- Please note: All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract.
- Please note: All Counsellors stay in a cabin with our guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
- Please note: All Staff are required to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of their contract.
