Summer Spiritual Development Manager

Muskoka Woods hires over 350 seasonal staff and welcomes over 4000 guests every Summer. With a mission to develop leaders and inspire youth to shape their world, Muskoka Woods continues to be an industry leader in the development of both staff and guests. The Summer Spiritual Development Manager is responsible for the strategy, content and delivery of all spiritual development initiatives for the guests and seasonal staff of the summer camp, including year-round follow-up of summer staff on university campuses. Using the LivEx-4Gs and guest spiritual aspirations as a framework, this role focuses on creating an environment for guests and staff to experience our calling as a living exhibition of life with God. They will manage all aspects of the spiritual development programming, including the training and leadership of all seasonal staff and year-round volunteers, who are recruited to work in these initiatives. read more

Winter/Spring 2025 – Office Staff

The Main Office is the hub of all information at Muskoka Woods. The Office staff deliver excellent customer service to both staff and guests, assisting administratively and actively problem solving. They will handle general office tasks, including evenings and weekends, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They are responsible for answering calls, assisting guests and staff at the front counter, collecting feedback through surveys, managing the lost and found, and registering visitors and guests. Winter/Spring 2025 – Activity Instructor

The primary role of a Host Instructor is to instruct guests in a variety of sports, adventure activities, arts, nature and team-building programs. Staff are trained in program delivery for up to 25 different activities and are required to run activities for groups of 10 to 20 children at a time. Host instructors often travel around with their assigned group of guests but can also be assigned to specialize in one area depending on the needs of the group. A typical schedule for Host Instructors is from 8am to 5pm daily with 1 to 2 evening shifts/week as a team to provide evening program, serve snack, cover the office and work in the Camp Store. read more

Winter/Spring – 2025 – Studio Host

From September to June, the Schools & Groups program and the Leadership Studio provide life-changing experiences for youth and adults. Throughout the year Muskoka Woods serves more than 25,000 students in grades 6 to 12, from numerous corporate and church groups. The primary role of the Studio Host is to support our full-time Leadership Studio staff in leading and facilitating activities and providing program for our guests. Hosts are responsible to create and maintain a welcoming and inviting atmosphere in the Studio and provide excellent customer service to all guests. Studio Hosts regularly provide hospitality services in the Studio including food service, cleaning, dishwashing and firewood management. **Please note: All positions are required to work in other areas including program, kitchen, housekeeping, groundskeeping, snow removal and office coverage. Assistant to the Summer Director and Program Manager

The Assistant to Summer Director and Program Manager plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly around camp, supporting in all administrative tasks and projects outlined by the Camp Director and Program Manager. Tasks include but are not limited to: Coordinating the Director's schedule and meetings, managing Emergency Procedure assignments, overseeing the Night Watch schedule and the Security Team, organizing the mealtime system for guests and staff, facilitating staff announcements, T-shirt distribution, Survival packs, postcards, and rentals. They support the Program team by hosting weekly team meetings, helping out with evening programs, and stepping in when the Program Manager is off. Plus, they greet visitors and help organize special events and other fun camp projects. read more

WILD Program Director

The WILD Program Director oversees the experience for our guests ages 6 to 8 years old, making sure everything we do hits our customer service standards for safety, detail, sizzle, and development. read more

Counsellor – WILD

A WILD Counsellor's job is to keep our 6 to 8 year old guests safe and help them have a great week at camp. This means creating a fun and supportive space in the cabin for them to learn, grow, and make new friends. Counsellors live in cabins with our guests, eat meals together, and participate in evening activities. They also lead small group chats during Convo Cafe each night. All counsellors are required to instruct in a skill area for one period each day - this is called "Switch Em Up". Heads up: counsellors may be moved to other age sections throughout the summer based on our needs for the week. This will be up to the discretion of the Summer Program Manager. read more
