Spring 2026 – Activity Instructor
Activity Instructors are responsible for leading guests in a range of awesome sports, adventure activities, arts, nature explorations, and team-building programs. They are trained in up to 25 different activities which they instruct to our guests at Muskoka Woods. A day in the life looks like running activities and programs for groups of 10 to 20 kids at a time. They will often travel with an assigned group, or specialize in one area based on the group's needs. Work hours are typically from 8am to 5pm with 1 to 2 evening shifts each week to help run evening programs, serve snack, cover the office, assist in the Camp Store, help out with dish shifts and do occasional work projects to keep everything running smoothly! read more
Instructor Cooking and Baking
Cooking and Baking Instructors are responsible for leading fun and safe activities that help our guests learn new skills, make friends, and have an awesome time! Instructors run activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm each day, bringing high energy and quality instruction to their area. These activities include Cooking, Cake Decorating, and Baking. Each day kicks off and wraps up with team meetings, plus setup and cleanup of their area. Heads up: all instructors also help out with our Stayover Program by leading activities, staying in guest cabins as a stayover counsellor, and pitching in with a cleaning crew. They also assist with evening programs where assigned and participate in Sunday Arrivals. Instructors will also be assigned as transportation staff on at least one Saturday or Sunday throughout the summer. read more
Instructor Host – Timbergrove Lodge
Timbergrove Lodge has the privilege of hosting our partner groups, supported by the Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation, throughout the summer. TGL Host Instructors are responsible for leading fun and safe activities that help our Timbergrove Lodge guests learn new skills, grow friendships, and have an awesome time! They bring energy and enthusiasm to the daily routine, making sure everyone has a blast while learning something new. TGL Hosts are key to making the experience unforgettable. They journey with the group all week, fostering safety, leading activities, joining in on events, building friendships and capturing stories. Heads up: TGL Host Instructors join in on the fun during the TGL evening program once per week! It’s a great opportunity to hang out, participate in the Crew or Senior High Program, relax by the campfire, or get into a lively game of volleyball or basketball. read more
Instructor Kraken Waterslide
Kraken Instructors are responsible for leading fun and safe activities that help our guests learn new skills, make friends, and have an awesome time! They are in charge of running the Kraken Waterslide during shifts between 9am and 7pm, bringing tons of energy and top-notch instruction to each lesson. Each day kicks off and wraps up with team meetings, plus setup and cleanup of their area. Heads up: all instructors also help out with our Stayover Program by leading activities, staying in guest cabins as a stayover counsellor, and pitching in with a cleaning crew. They also assist with evening programs where assigned and participate in Sunday Arrivals. Lifeguard – August Only
Lifeguards are responsible for supervising the swim beach, creating a safe and fun environment that help our guests learn new skills, make friends, and have an awesome time! Lifeguards oversee the swim beach in shifts from 9am to 5pm, bringing high energy and quality instruction to their area. Each day kicks off and wraps up with team meetings, plus setup and cleanup of their area.
