Summer Spiritual Development Manager

Muskoka Woods hires over 350 seasonal staff and welcomes over 4000 guests every Summer. With a mission to develop leaders and inspire youth to shape their world, Muskoka Woods continues to be an industry leader in the development of both staff and guests. The Summer Spiritual Development Manager is responsible for the strategy, content and delivery of all spiritual development initiatives for the guests and seasonal staff of the summer camp, including year-round follow-up of summer staff on university campuses. Using the LivEx-4Gs and guest spiritual aspirations as a framework, this role focuses on creating an environment for guests and staff to experience our calling as a living exhibition of life with God. Winter/Spring 2025 – Office Staff

The Main Office is the hub of all information at Muskoka Woods. The Office staff deliver excellent customer service to both staff and guests, assisting administratively and actively problem solving. They will handle general office tasks, including evenings and weekends, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They are responsible for answering calls, assisting guests and staff at the front counter, collecting feedback through surveys, managing the lost and found, and registering visitors and guests. Winter/Spring 2025 – Activity Instructor

The primary role of a Host Instructor is to instruct guests in a variety of sports, adventure activities, arts, nature and team-building programs. Staff are trained in program delivery for up to 25 different activities and are required to run activities for groups of 10 to 20 children at a time. Host instructors often travel around with their assigned group of guests but can also be assigned to specialize in one area depending on the needs of the group. A typical schedule for Host Instructors is from 8am to 5pm daily with 1 to 2 evening shifts/week as a team to provide evening program, serve snack, cover the office and work in the Camp Store. read more

Winter/Spring – 2025 – Studio Host

From September to June, the Schools & Groups program and the Leadership Studio provide life-changing experiences for youth and adults. Throughout the year Muskoka Woods serves more than 25,000 students in grades 6 to 12, from numerous corporate and church groups. The primary role of the Studio Host is to support our full-time Leadership Studio staff in leading and facilitating activities and providing program for our guests. Hosts are responsible to create and maintain a welcoming and inviting atmosphere in the Studio and provide excellent customer service to all guests. Studio Hosts regularly provide hospitality services in the Studio including food service, cleaning, dishwashing and firewood management. **Please note: All positions are required to work in other areas including program, kitchen, housekeeping, groundskeeping, snow removal and office coverage. Arts & Athletic Director

Arts & Athletic Directors are responsible for overseeing their assigned activity areas while championing our Customer Service standards of Safety, Detail, Sizzle and Development. They lead their Area Heads, providing training, coaching, and feedback. Arts & Athletic Directors are responsible for tasks including guidebook creation/updating, planning activities, managing equipment and facilities, sorting staff issues, and problem solving issues that come up throughout the day. Arts & Athletics Directors lead and participate in daily and weekly meetings and support the team as required. read more

Arts & Athletic Director – Administrator

Arts & Athletic Directors are responsible for overseeing their assigned activity areas while championing our Customer Service standards of Safety, Detail, Sizzle and Development. The Administrator will specifically handle financial, medical, and logistical administration for Arts & Athletics. They lead their Area Heads, providing training, coaching, and feedback, but have fewer to oversee so they can focus on those admin tasks. This Director's day-to-day includes planning activities, managing equipment and facilities, sorting staff issues, and problem solving issues that come up throughout the day. Area Head – Arts

Area Heads are in charge of overseeing the activities in their area, making sure it is safe, fun, and a space where guests can develop their skills! The Arts Area Head oversees Arts n Crafts, Creative Arts, Screen Printing, Content Creators, Podcasting, and Woodworking (list is subject to change). They lead and support their team of instructors, handling training, coaching, and providing feedback. They are responsible for managing all equipment for their area, writing and updating lesson plans, dealing with guest issues, and of course providing top notch customer service. A day in the life looks like running activities from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm, with daily team meetings and setup/cleanup at the start and end of each day. Heads up: Area Heads will be responsible for helping lead and execute our weekend stayover program. This will include overseeing instructors at activities, work projects and helping to lead evening program. Area Heads will also be assigned to be a Transportation Bus Captain at least once throughout the summer. read more

Area Head – Boathouse

Area Heads are in charge of overseeing the activities in their area, making sure it is safe, fun, and a space where guests can develop their skills! The Boathouse Area Head's assigned activities are as follows: Waterskiing, Wakeboarding, Wakesurfing, and Tubing. They lead and support their team of instructors, handling training, coaching, and providing feedback. read more
